There are many reasons why people should exercise, but one reason that we all agree on is that we want to live a healthy life without diseases. Yet, we do not take the necessary action to make it possible. When it comes to a healthy lifestyle, exercising comes to the top of the list of things that we should do in order to live a healthy life.
Exercising can have a great effect not only on your overall health and well-being but also helps you by preventing future diseases and health complications.
“Physical activity can improve health now and in the future. People of all ages, races and ethnicities, shapes, sizes, and abilities can benefit from more physical activity. Everyone needs both aerobic and muscle-strengthening physical activity” (CDC)
In this post, we will list some solid reasons why people should exercise.
It Keeps You Fit:
Exercising helps you reduce your body fat, which will lead to great results such as being fit and preventing weight-related diseases. Being overweight carries many risks such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Having all these diseases will lead to more complications in your overall health and well-being, which will lead to more serious issues like heart attacks and heart complications.
You can avoid all that and have a great and fit body by exercising regularly or at least a few times weekly. By committing to regular exercise, you are doing a huge favor to yourself by reducing the risk of developing many diseases.
It Strengthens Your Bones:
As you get older there are many changes that happen to your body, and one of these changes is the loss of bone mineral strength. Every year that you age older, you lose 1% of your bone mineral every year which will make your bones thinner and weaker.
Exercising is considered to be a key to maintaining bone health. In general, all exercises are good for your bone, yet there are some exercises that are more useful than others such as resistance training; in other words, weight lifting.
You need to make sure that you spend at least one hour a week of intense weight lifting workout, or you can set up a program for yourself, where you can work like 3 or 4 days a week.
It is well-known fact that exercising is great for the health of your lungs, where it improves your breathing by strengthening the muscles which help your lung open up to bring in oxygen and push out carbon dioxide.
Those who do not exercise regularly have difficulty breathing whenever they try to do any activity or sport, where do they stop after 5 to 10 minutes into their workout or just walk fast to catch their breath? That happens to them because they do not exercise regularly.
Exercising Regularly helps improve the efficiency with which oxygen permeates your body’s cells through its effects on aerobic capacity.
It Helps You Develop Muscle Mass:
Resistance training not only strengthens your bones as we stated above, but it also builds your muscles. As well as, the tension of your muscles against your bones is what aids your bones to get the maximum benefit of resistance training.
As you age, you will lose 1% of muscle strength every year, but if you do work out your muscles and develop them you will cut that in half. Doing weight lifting exercises helps you develop strong muscles, which will help you stay fit and maintain a healthy fat-free body mass.
It Boosts Your Energy:
The lack of body movement or exercising will lead to laziness, you will feel tired all the time, and you do not have the energy to do anything.
Guess what, exercising boosts your energy because you will be getting more oxygen to fuel your body’s cells. That happens because exercising improves the efficiency of how oxygen permeates the cells of your body.
Exercising helps gain great strength and reduce the chance of getting aches or feeling pain; which will allow you to go about your daily activities feeling less fatigued.
Exercise Regularly For Better and Healthy Life:
There are so many reasons why people should exercise, but we listed five of them because I think these 5 reasons are the most important ones. People always come up with excuses not to work out like there is no time or I get back so tired from work.
If you want to feel good about yourself physically and mentally, you should exercise. The first 2 to 3 weeks at the gym will be hard, and you will feel tired the next day but if you continue, and make sure to build exercise into your daily routines; I promise you it will become less tiresome because you will feel more mentally and physically capable of carrying them out.
I would like to know what do think about these reasons, and if there are others that you think we should add, please comment below and let’s have a discussion.
